Changes to the Ontario Heritage Act Unexpectedly Shift Responsibilities (and Risk) within the Construction Pyramid

In this webinar, we will discuss some unexpected changes to the Ontario Heritage Act over the past five years (by way of Bill-23, -108, and -200 amongst others), including a streamlined approvals system for development, free of red tape, alongside the potential consequences to the environment, heritage buildings, and First Nations sites in the province. With these changes comes a shift in responsibilities (and risks) for those in the construction industry, including, for example, if and when an archaeological assessment needs to take place.
