The tenth round of changes to O Reg 406/19 (Excess Soils) came into effect late last year, coming with it a delay to the prohibition on the deposit of excess soil at landfilling or dump sites, which has been pushed to January 1, 2027, and greater flexibility in both types of reuse projects and types of excess soils appropriate for reuse.
